Event Policies and Safety Requirements

What You Can Bring

Guidelines for manufacturers bringing products and equipment to the event.

Encouraged to Bring:

  • •Lights, lasers, and night-vision equipment
  • •Tactical accessories and components
  • •Product samples and demonstration units

Samples Welcome:

  • •Firearms, ammunition, and suppressors (samples only)
  • •Optics and sighting systems

Note: We will try to accommodate shooting space, but event sponsors are prioritized.

Safety Equipment

Eyes and ears are required on the firing line. Plan on bringing your own, we may have foamies and disposable glasses, but they won't be photogenic, and we may run out.

Weather Preparation

Remember, this is an event in the early evening in January in the Nevada Desert, while so far this year has been fairly temperate, that's been known to change. Dress for the weather, figure temps will drop at least 20F from 4pm until 9pm, often more, and there's always wind. A light jacket, long pants, work/shooting gloves, and a warm hat are usually enough. This event is rain or shine.

General Safety Rules

These rules govern the safety of all who expect to attend the shoot. Violation of these rules may result in expulsion.

  • 1Treat all guns as if they are loaded.
  • 2Keep the gun pointed in the safest possible direction.
  • 3Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
  • 4Know your target, its surroundings and beyond.
  • 5If a gun misfires or malfunctions and you don't know how to fix it keep it pointed in a safe direction, make the sponsor or staff aware.

Rules for this Event

  • 1Wear your badge, keep it visible above the waist. Anyone without a badge will be sent to the clubhouse to register.
  • 2Firing is only permitted at the firing line, not behind it, not in front of it.
  • 3This is a cold range for all except for staff.
  • 4No live ammunition in the Media Area dummies only
  • 5Firearms will only be moved to or from the Media Area by Sponsors, Donors or Staff
  • 6Attendees must keep any personal firearms in their vehicles.
